My friend wanted me to ask this about a guy (she doesn't have a yahoo account)?
"So there's this boy at school that kinda knows i like him but I'm not totally sure and every time after ceramics class we take different routes to go downstairs and when he sees me at the vending machines he just keeps walking by even though i know he gets something. And sometimes he even gives me this weird look in class…So is he trying to avoid me???"
"Also, I try to avoid him but I ALWAYS end up running into him!"
Okay I feel weird saying this in third person so I'm going to talk to you like you are your friend. Lol anyways here goes
I think that the situation could depend. If you know him pretty well and he's your friend and all of a sudden he finds out you like him, then yes, he is probably avoiding you for that reason. It's harder to say when you don't know him as well. If you've never talked to this guy before and all of a sudden he finds out that you like him, then he could possibly be weirded out and doesn't wanna run into any awkward situations.
I also think that it depends on what kind of guy he is. If he's a really popular, confident and outgoing person and all of a sudden he seems to be avoiding you, then he probably is. There would be no reason for him to take a different route and ignore your presense on purpose. If he's the quiet type of laid back guy, who knows. He could also be weirded out, or he just may not notice.
The final scenario is that he likes you. It doesn't matter what kind of guy he is, even if he's the toughest and most confident guy out there, if he has a crush on you, then he will be self conscious about it.
Here's what I suggest doing. Try and analyze that weird look as much as possible. Is it a disgusted look? Or a judging one? A look of anxiety or nervousness? One thing you can do is that the next time you catch him looking at you, just stare back and see if he flinches or breaks away or anything like that. Those could be clear signs. You should also try to talk to him when you can, or else you will probably never have a chance with him anymore. One good way to make some sort of communication is during those times when he stares. Just look at him "accidentally" and then smile, or wave, or something. If you happen to run into him, then definitely say hi. This way, you'll avoid a lot of awkwardness in the future and you'll also get closer to him for a better shot.
