Does anyone know of a way to secure a small vending machine at a business without bolting in down?
I have small vending machines at different business that I need to somehow make sure that no one picks them up and carry them away. They are not very light, but two strong people working together would be able to lift them away. The owner's of the businesses does not want me to bolt them to the floor or wall. Any suggestions oh how to make it so nobody will be able to carry them off easily?
They do make alarms for vending machines that operate from motion. If someone tries to move or shake machine it will set off alarm. You can find them from vending suppliers.
This is the problem with the countertop vending machines. They seem to make sense until you start using them. You can find nice used equipment ( full size) on ebay.

If the bottom of your machine is hollow you could try filling it with something really heavy, cast iron wieghts, lead shot, sandbags. . . make em work hard if they want to steal it. Make sure that whatever it is that you use is in easy to handle packs, remember you may wish to move it yourself one day
