Is Wealth Builders of Planet Antares a scam?

Written by admin on Sunday, January 31st, 2010

I got this thing in the mail, basically a "blah blah blah, make thousands while sitting on your ass" kind of thing. Its inviting me and one guest to go to a free lunch at the Marriott while we listen to some pitch about "amazing money making opportunities", as the letter puts it. Naturally, I’m skeptical. But the letter says it not a sales seminar, that you shouldn’t even bring your check book because there’s nothing to buy. They say you’ll come away with valuable information. So I went online and read some articles about it, with mixed reviews, the majority leaning towards negative. But there was one comment from a man who said he’d done vending machine sales for decades, and he said "It was NOT too good to be true. It was the laziness, ignorance, and OUTRIGHT stupidity of prospects that caused this business not to work." And he wasn’t the only one that said it. So it sounds like this doesn’t work for most people, but it can if you’re not lazy and work hard at it. So, I’m thinking about going to the seminar (with extremely skeptical expectations) but I’m still concerned its just a scam. Is there anyone that’s done this, or at least gone to a seminar, that can tell me about it from experience?
Also, the main complaint I’m hearing is that the potential profits are misrepresented.

You are going to be pressured to fill out an application – which naturally will include much of your personal information: name, address, phone number, etc. If they are REALLY bold, they will ask for your social security number and drivers license number. I think most of these types of things are information gathering events rather than being anything that would actually profit you.

The positive testimonials are coming from the people who stand to make money off either you signing up or giving them your personal information. Stay away, in my opinion.

Does anyone have a inventory/restocking form for vending business?

Written by admin on Sunday, January 31st, 2010

I just started my vending business and I need a form for when I take inventory and money at each machine.

I recommend that you go to:

http://
isohunt
.com

and search "Business In A Box".

That should have any documents you need for your new small business.

Also, any books by the company "Nolo" are good… I actually paid a large sum to legally purchase eBooks from them for my small business.

Search "Small Business" as well… The book lists that come up are extensive and a great help.

How long before you could take a wage out of your business?

Written by admin on Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Me and my family have a vending business that’s been going for just over 2 years. We are only just starting to get a bit of money out of the business as all the money made simply goes back into the business to build it up. We need to use the money we make to buy more vending machines etc to grow the business.

What type of business do you have and how long was it before you started getting a proper living from it?

We are over 2 yrs in and only just starting to take peanuts out of the business.

It’s difficult to say how long it can take. When we ran a business part-time it really didn’t pay its way. Another one took about 6 months to start producing good returns.

If you’re in the UK, it may be worth contacting your local Business Link. They offer a free business review and come up with helpful suggestions for moving your business forward. We did this for one of ours a couple of years ago and it was very helpful.

Good luck with your business!

How do I get a food vending truck route in queens new york?

Written by admin on Thursday, January 21st, 2010

How much does it cost on average?
What license do I need?

Go to the boys they control the big commercial routes, and see if they will sell you a route.
Better yet work a route from them before buying it so you know what’s it all about.
Ask they will tell you all you need to know.

I am planning to start a vending machine business. I wanted to know the profit margin of Pepsi and coke cans?

Written by admin on Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Kindly let me know the profit margins for Pepsi and coke cans, Lays, Chocolates. Thanks

Profit margins for pop are high. You can buy a can of pop for as little as .30 censt and when it is on sale as low as .22 cents.

For chips your cost is about .45 cents, chocolate bars are a little higher about .65 cents but you sell those items for a higher price too.

Check out my website at www.MyVendingSecret.com

Thanks,

Chris

How do I zone my business?

Written by admin on Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

I was reading my cities Business License literature on the internet. And it says there are pretty much 3 steps to attaining a business license. 1 to apply, 2 to submit & make sure its properly zoned. 3 to receive a certificate of occupancy.

My question is in step 2, i have a basic understand of what zoning is. I guess there are certain zones in my city where certain types of business’s aren’t aloud. I want to know how can i see a map of the zones? How can I find out where the zones are? also, please let me know if i’m wrong about what zones are.

And also, will they have to inspect my house? its a home based business. in step 3 it says they have to inspect make sure everything is safe. I’m wondering, is it the same w/home business? and my business is "Bulk Vending Machine" business, most of my duties & business take place on site @ the location of my machines, almost nothing goes down in my house.

Thanks guys, also any book recommendations? or any websites or literature? I have read rich dad poor dad, cash flow quadrant, abc’s of real estate. I visit entrepreneur.com frequently (just started last week) Also, if u can suggest some cool stuff on that website to check out?

Thanks dudes!

Unfortunately you don’t get to zone your business. The city designates which areas are zoned commercial and residential for example. In some cases you can apply for a variance, but given your business, that won’t be necessary, and you won’t have any problems with zoning. Check with city hall to find out about the zoning in your area. In some cases the information can even be found online.

who would be the right people to ask questions to, about starting a vending business, candy machines,?

For ontario, i like to start a business, but i have no idea were i can get tips or starting,,, can someone point me to the right way… thank u for you time

I try to help.
I live in the USA. Here we have the Small Business Administration and SCORE. I give the links for reference;
http://www.sba.gov/
http://www.score.org/index.html
The SBA can help us find information and get Business Loans.
SCORE is usually men/women who have retired from their own business and now donate their time to help others succeed.

OK, I not know everything Canada/Ontario have to help a person. I type my search; ontario small business
Here a link I found;
http://www.sbe.gov.on.ca/ontcan/sbe/en/home_en.jsp
There probably other places to help. Maybe this link help and they give you more resources. Good luck!

What’s fair when it comes to illegal immigrants?

Written by admin on Saturday, December 26th, 2009

This Friday, May 1, will again bring about marches from people who are in this country illegally and their supporters. Illegal immigration is a very contentious subject. This year it will be even more so as millions of Americans have become unemployed or are facing the "chopping block."

I always have been insulted when individuals who are pro-illegal immigrants try to logic out why one group of people can break one set of laws while the rest of us should be subject to the exact same laws. For example, the City of Chicago has proclaimed itself to be a sanctuary city. We have individuals who get upset if the police do stings and arrest and take the cars of people who are in this country illegally and driving without a license. Yet we recently had an alderman proclaim that the city should take the cars of American citizens who leave traffic court and drive after being told to not do so. Where is the fairness?

I recently spent several months working in a Chicago public school where the student population was half black and half Hispanic. As I walked down the hallways, the classrooms for grades kindergarten through third looked like something out of a movie prior to Brown vs. Board of Education. The classrooms for first graders, for example, had all the black children in one room while all the Hispanic children were in a separate classroom.

Why? Because six years prior, two children were born in the same city and same hospital. The black child went home where he/she learned English even if it was the Ebonics’ version. The other child went home with parents who didn’t speak English and may be in this country illegally. That child learned Spanish as their first language.

When the time came to go to school, the Hispanic parents were allowed to choose a bilingual education program, even if the child is functional in English.

Wait a second. If the Hispanic children are getting bilingual education, shouldn’t the black kids be getting the same opportunity to become bilingual by learning Spanish at the same time the Hispanic children are learning English? Where is the fairness?

Recently, a man testified before congress regarding his daughter who was killed while sitting in her car at a red light. Her car was hit by a drunk driver, who was an illegal immigrant. The father referred to the people listed on the ICE database of illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds as "banditos." The father was subsequently chastised by Congressman Luis Gutierrez for using the term "banditos." Interestingly enough, it was not because the congressman could point to the term as being derogatory, but because he has chosen to pursue the interest of illegal immigrants over those of U.S. citizens. He was more concerned with how the illegal immigrants were being portrayed than he was about a U.S. citizen being killed by someone who shouldn’t have been in the country to begin with. Where is the fairness?

I have watched while a friend of mine lost his restaurant business. Every day he was visited by the city and issued fines for violations that had nothing to do with his food handling. Fines for signage violation. Fines because his video game didn’t have a current license even though it was unplugged and facing backwards so that no one could use it. Yet, every day on the streets of Austin, I am seeing unlicensed and unsanitary corn carts sitting on corners vending food. There is no running water to wash hands and, even worse, where do they use the bathroom when they stand on a corner for hours on end?

I saw on North Avenue, by the soon-to-be opened new Menards, a man cooking tacos on the city’s sidewalk. I am sure we have tons of Americans who could also put a BBQ pit on a cart and stand on a corner and sell food. Yet it doesn’t happen because the city enforces food-handling laws against citizens but not against others. Where is the fairness?

As this year’s marches occur, I am anxious to see how illegal immigration will be portrayed. As Americans have lost jobs, houses and their version of the American dream, will we as a country still be gullible enough to believe that there are jobs that we won’t do?

http://www.austinweeklynews.com/main.asp?SectionID=3&SubSectionID=3&ArticleID=2231&TM=83059.65

I’m with you almost 100% of the time! I hope US citizens are beginning to wake up and are becoming so fed up with the bs as usual, they will take their anger to challenge the illegal marchers! I hope this year is the year of escalation which will prove the majority of citizens demand their removal and will do it themselves, if our government is not going to do so!
